TOURISM and Hospitality Industry Minister Walter Mzembi was on Tuesday admitted at a city hospital suffering from extreme exhaustion and fatigue.
In a statement yesterday, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Dr Sylvester Maunganidze said the minister was released from hospital yesterday.
“Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Walter Mzembi was yesterday detained at a city hospital suffering from fatigue and exhaustion.
“The Minister drove to the medical centre for a quick check up yesterday morning but a doctor immediately detained him and advised him to rest at the centre and avoid any work including holding meetings,” Dr Maunganidze said.
The minister was visited by officials from his ministry before his release.
“The minister has this morning (yesterday) been released to go and rest at home. He has been advised to slow down as hyperactivity can lead to severe muscular tension,” he said.
In an interview yesterday Minister Mzembi said he was feeling better and confirmed that he had been advised to slow down.
“I was admitted over night and am now at home but the doctors advised me to slow down. I had suffered muscle strain but I should be back at work on Monday,” he said.
