Convention kicks off PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 15 June 2012 12:00

THE 13th Annual International Precious Stone Women and Girls Convention commenced yesterday at the Rainbow Towers Conference Centre in Harare, and will be running to June 17. This is an ever popular event hosted by Dr Rutendo Faith Wutawunashe and the Women’s Ministry of the Worldwide Family of God Churches.
The following is an extract of an interview with Dr Wutawunashe (DW).
Question: Dr Wutawunashe, you have been holding Precious Stone Women and Girls Conventions for over 12 years now.  What are your aims in these conventions?
DW: It is to awaken women and girls to their God-given value and potential which is concealed by the evil works of the devil. It is also to teach them to fight for the release of this value through the power and wisdom of Jesus Christ found in the Word of God, revealing women with seven virtues namely wisdom, wealth, excellence, true beauty, good works, strength and honour, and women who fear the Lord.
Q: What is the foundation of the Precious Stone Ministry?
DW: The foundation of this ministry is the Word God gave me in 1990 through a vision in which I saw a lump of soil and then I saw water flowing over it.  As the water flowed over the lump of soil, suddenly there emerged a bright green emerald stone and there was also a sharp instrument scrapping around the stone to clean it up, producing a clear, shining emerald. As I was wondering over the vision, immediately the Spirit of God gave me a clear interpretation:
l Lump of soil represents a woman as seen ordinarily, no value, unimportant.
l Soil represents the evil works of the devil.
l Water represents the Word of God (Ezekiel 36 vs. 26: Ephesians 5 vs. 26; John 15 vs.3).
l Sharp instrument represents the Word of God and the Spirit of God.  (Hebrews 4 vs.12).
l Emerald stone represents the woman of seven virtues that God is looking for.  (Proverbs 31 vs.10-31).
Q: Apart from the annual conventions what other platforms do you have to teach women?
DW: I teach women and girls in a number of contexts — from the individual, small group functions and provincial and national conventions in Zimbabwe and other nations for example — South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Australia, UK, Mozambique and Malawi.
Q: To what extent do you think you have succeeded in fulfilling your mission?
DW: By the grace of God, to a large extent. I thank God for helping me because I have seen the Word of God changing lives of women in amazing ways  , in all areas of life, e.g. in marriages, motherhood and financially.
Great testimonies keep coming in from women who have been ministered to through this word. There has also been a total turn around in the economy of many women.
Many businesses have sprung up. Miracles of healing and deliverance in childbearing have taken place.  Women have risen to serve God in tangible ways.
Q: What can women look forward to at this convention?
DW: In this particular convention, God has impressed on my spirit to focus on teaching women and girls about spiritual warfare as seen in our convention aims and objectives.
Aims: To raise women who can conduct accurate and effective spiritual warfare for their seed i.e. whatever a woman produces.
Objectives: By the end of the convention for every woman and girl who comes to this convention to be able to:
1. Become conscious of the war over seed between the woman and the devil. 2. Identify devices and strategies of the devil in this warfare. 3. Be armed with the weapons of the warfare as provided in the Word of God.
I am therefore inviting all women and girls to come and receive ministry that will impact their lives in the Convention.
