Richmore TeraArts Correspondent PROMINENT South African gospel musician Sipho Makhabane is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe tomorrow where he will be the guest performer at the launch of United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean artiste Fulton Rupapa’s album. The launch will be held at Revelation Centre situated at NMB Bank at the corner of Kwame Nkrumah Avenue and First Street in Harare on Saturday. This is not the first time that Makhabane has graced an event by a Zimbabwean artiste, having been the guest performer at Elias Musakwa’s wedding sometime ago. Fulton also involved a stellar line-up of artistes on the album among them Josh Meck, Thobekile Nhleya, Jairos Hambahamba, Sophie Madzivanyika Mujokoro and Frank Mavhimira among others. It is clear that a lot of work went into the production considering that it took Fulton and his group six years to come up with the album. He said he aims to transform people’s souls through his music. “It might look like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but don’t lose hope. I have been through some tough times in life, moreover living in a foreign land, but I never lost hope,” said Fulton. Some of the tracks on the album include “Makanaka”, “Lover of My Life”, “We Give Thanks”, Africa”, “My Whole Life”, “My Joy” and “Been There”. |
