BLACK RHINOS captain, Brighton Chandisaita, has challenged his troops to stay focused when they meet a relatively strong Power Master side in a Zifa Northern Region Division One match at One Commando this afternoon.
Chauya Chipembere lost 1-0 to log leaders DStv last weekend before hitting back with a 3-0 thumping of Aces Youth Soccer Academy in a mid-week fixture at Gwanzura, which kept them on second place on the log.
The army side are now trailing DStv by three points.
Six teams are in contention for pole position with Power Master occupying third place on 22 points and Twalumba sits on fourth place with 21 points.
Chandisaita acknowledged the importance of collecting maximum points today.
“We are facing tough opponents with experienced players and we all want to gain promotion into the Premiership.
“We are banking on home advantage and we want to avoid the same mistakes we made when we lost against DStv last weekend.
“Everyone in the team is ready and knows what we want to achieve.
“It is important that we maintain a winning mentality after that mid-week win against AYSA,” said Chandisaita.
Power Master coach Tonderai Marume was confident of victory.
“We are taking this game just like any other game that we have played before.
“Rhinos are a big club with experienced players but we are not reading much into that, we just want to go and do our best so that we can collect maximum points.
“It’s not going to be an easy game but Rhinos need to be at their best because we are seeking nothing less than a victory,” said Marume.
