Mutare Bureau
A MUTARE woman, Mrs Decent Mamvura-Mafukashe, is looking for R170 000 to enable her son who was seriously burnt by a paraffin stove to undergo plastic surgery in South Africa. Advocate Mafukase (13) was seriously burnt after the family’s paraffin

stove exploded while they were cooking in January last year.
Advocate had to spend seven months in Mutare Provincial Hospital, but his wounds did not completely heal, prompting medical officers to refer him for specialist treatment in South Africa.
The doctors in South Africa recommended that he  undergo plastic surgery and the total amount required is R170 000, which the family cannot raise.
They were given April 5 as the day when he was supposed to undergo the plastic surgery, but finances have not been coming their way.
Mrs Mafukashe said they have so far raised R70 000.
Those willing to assist him can contact the following numbers: 0773 187 643 (Mrs Mafukashe) or 0774 590 309 (Advocate).
They can also make deposits in Mrs Mafukashe’s POSB account, number 112310012505.
