Christian hip hop artistes are set to benefit from the upcoming Christian Hip Hop Achievements Awards slated for December 13. Event organiser, Noel Borerwe said they came up with the awards as a way of appreciating artistes that sing gospel hip hop. “The achievement awards are here to ensure that annually artistes who work hard get recognition. “We will communicate an annual theme so that we all move in one direction and this is also meant to encourage artistes to deliver excellent products to the nation.
Borerwe said they have 15 categories and will consider music produced between September 2013 and 2014.

Some of the categories include Best Hip Hop Soul Song of Year, Most Influential Male and Female Artist of the Year, Producer of the Year and Most Influential New Artist.
“We are going to consider music on our national radio stations and music submitted to us valid from September 31 2013 to September 31 this year.

“Then the first voting round will be done this month by the Bring2Reality Entertainment members to hand in the final nominees list,” he said.
Borerwe also said the nominees list is out a panellist will start assessing the selected music.

“First week of November, our panellists of ten judges will get the nominees list and each judge will listen to all the music available. All judges will vote for who they thought in each category achieved a lot during the course of the year.

“The people’s award category and music video will have the people vote. People should participate and vote for who they thought achieved greater heights and influenced society positively,” he said.

The panel consist of Dj Nduu Ndlovu, Romeo Tatenda, Herald Zulu, Douglas Hlatswayo, DJ Eve Bentura, Calos Nkanka, David Chifunyise, Takudzwa Chaora and TinasheMukogo.
Each category is valid if it consists of five artists in that particular year and has urged fans to follow their facebook CHH Achievement Awards.

Christian Hip Hop Achievement Awards is a non-profit organisation and began its work in August last year researching on the progress of Zimbabwean gospel hip hop.
