Alick Macheso took fans down memory lane when he played most of his yesteryear hits at Pamuzinda Ice and Fire on Friday.
Although the musician played some new songs, his playlist was largely made of hits that shook the music industry many years ago.Songs like “Baba Namai (Chikwambo)”, “Madhawu”, “Monalisa” and “Charakupa” delighted fans at the show. It was an exciting show that made a memorable night.

The musician did a new song that encourages people to assist people in need. The musician said he worked with Zimbabwe Red Cross Society to create the song.

Macheso was the last to perform at the show that also featured Dino Mudondo, Shinsoman and Leonard Zhakata.

Mudondo took to the stage first and performed most of his hits before leaving the stage for Zhakata who got a heavy blow from continuous power cuts.

However, the musician patiently waited on stage despite shouts of disapproval from fans that complained about the power cuts. Zhakata continued with his performance when show organisers connected a generator.

Shinsoman took to the stage after Zhakata and the young musician tried his best to keep fans on their toes. Revellers stormed the stage and security details had to intervene to restore order. The “Mawayawaya” song maker introduced his live band.

“I have responded to the fans who requested me to have a live band and we are working hard to please them,” he said.
