Farai Kuvirimirwa recently in Nyanga
The hospitality industry targets to acquire relevant technology and employ competent personnel in its efforts to increase tourist arrivals by 2015, Tourism Council of Zimbabwe president Mr Francis Ngwenya has said. He was speaking at the National Manpower Advisory Council congress that was held recently in Nyanga.

The congress was attended by Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Minister Dr Olivia Muchena, her deputy Dr Godfrey Gandawa, Manicaland’s Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Christopher Mushohwe, universities vice chancellors and pro-vice chancellors, lecturers and business executives.

The congress with the theme: ‘Transforming human capital development in a rapidly changing environment’’ provided advice to Minister Muchena on measures required to improve manpower development.

Mr Ngwenya said the increase of tourist arrivals would improve wages for employees within the industry and increase contribution to the Gross Domestic Product from 6,8 percent to 15 percent.
