LOG leaders Ngezi Platinum face another stern test this weekend when they meet Black Rhinos in the Northern Region Division One Soccer League at Commando.

Unbeaten in 22 games, the platinum boys are coming from another tough encounter against ZRP FC last week which they won 3-2.

And tomorrow they have yet another huge task when they clash against Black Rhinos in their territory at Commando.

With 12 games to go before the end of the season, Ngezi Platinum coach Clifton Kadurira said at this stage every game was crucial in their quest for success.

“As I always say every game is important to us, so we are trying our level best to get three points. Our aim is to try and maintain that form we have at the moment.

“We are still working hard to achieve our goal to be promoted but it’s still game on. We will see how it goes in the next five or six games so we are still working hard.

“At the moment, with the form that we have, I think we can go far.

“When it comes to big games like this one against Black Rhinos we just treat them like any other game, we treat every team as a big team,” said Kadurira.

The Ngezi Platinum coach said instead of putting pressure on his charges he allows them to express themselves on the field of play.

“You can’t always keep them under pressure so I just tell them to go out and enjoy the game and get three points.

“These youngsters, when they want to achieve something, they work extra hard, so on our side, as coaches, we do not put them under pressure,” Kadurira said.

In their first meeting Ngezi won 3-0 and Kadurira said they are hoping to continue from where they left.

“I am going to fight for three points, since they are playing at home it’s going to be a tough game but we will try our level best,” Kadurira said.

Rhinos appear to have regained their winning formula after emerging triumphant in their last two matches against ZRP FC and Herentals.

In today’s matches Seven Flames hosts Cargo Carriers at Commando desperate for maximum points as their boat has been sinking and are third from the bottom.

Second-placed Gunners take on Herentals at Motor Action and will be hoping for another good show this weekend following last week’s good outing when they beat Mushowani in Madziva.

The win over Mushowani saw the former Premiership champions moving a place up the ladder into second position.
