These are the pairs that have served as sources of inspiration for many an ordinary couple, who look up to and emulate their idols.

Interestingly is the fact that these powerful celebrity couples are derived from various spheres of life, be it religion, politics, business, the arts and entertainment and sport, among other sectors.

They fell in love on Africa’s most watched and loved reality show Big Brother The Chase and later on Ghananian tailor Elikeem proposed to Pokello again on live camera on stage at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The sweet couple of Afro pop music, are former Oliver Mtukudzi’s Black Spirits band members. They now have a band called Chalenam derived from the prefixes of the two band leaders’ names.

Chalenam is made up of Never Mpofu on bass, Simba Dembedza on drums and Patience Masiyambiri on backing vocals. They are continuing to shine in the music circles although keeping a low profile.
