GUNNERS face another stern test tomorrow when they lock horns with Mushowani Stars in the World Navi Northern Region Division One soccer league race at Lafarge. After beating rivals Flame Lily last week, the log leaders have another tough task as they host Mushowani in what should be a defining tie. Gunners took a rest over the weekend as all league fixtures were suspended to pave way for the Yadah TV Knock-out tournament with Mushowani beating Lake Harvest 3-1 to progress to the semi-finals.

Ironically, they will take on Gunners in that match. Gunners won the reverse fixture 1-0 and their coach, Kuda Masaraure, said they were going for nothing less than a win. “We are prepared for the game. We are leading by four points so we don’t expect to see the gap going down to one point because it will put us under pressure.
“It’s a must-win for us, we have to win at all cost,” he said.

Fixtures: Tomorrow: Twalumba v Commando (Dzivarasekwa), Seven Flames v DStv Rangers (Commando), Royal Classic v Blue Swallows (Tsungubvi), Gunners v Mushowani (Lafarge), Karoi United v Flame Lilly (Chikangwe), DC Academy v ZRP Football Club/Black Mambas(Tomlinson), Ngezi Platinum v Starbill (Baobab), Bindura United v Lake Harvest (Chipadze), ZRP Morris v Chegutu (Morris Depot).
