GUINEA arrived in Harare yesterday, setting the stage for an explosive Nations Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe at Rufaro tomorrow. Guinea arrived with a 54-member delegation, including officials from their ministry of sport, and representatives from the football federation.

The Guinea team are staying at Rainbow Towers and unconfirmed reports indicate the side is catering for their expenses, including accommodation. Guinea were in South Africa since last week as part of their preparations for tomorrow’s tie and the Warriors should expect a tough encounter.

In their last encounter here, Zimbabwe lost 0-1 to Guinea and were beaten by the West Africans in Conakry. However, hopes are that the Warriors team, which is made up mostly of the foreign-based players such captain Willard Katsande, Knowledge, Musona, Nyasha Mushekwi and Cuthbert Malajila, will not disappoint tomorrow.
