UK-based gospel singer Nkosi Ka Ndlovu has engaged Mathias Mhere and Takesure Zamar for fundraising concerts for his former school Zidulini Primary in Nkayi.

Tomorrow the first show will be held at Kingston’s House in Harare and Mhere will be one of the artistes performing at the event.

On Sunday he will be sharing stage with Takesure Zamar in Gweru. “These are shows that we are doing in order to fund-raise for my former school and I am happy people have understood the concept of the shows,” he said.

Nkosi said they have been doing the shows in the UK until the community requested to have such gigs here in Zimbabwe.

“People have requested us to have such shows here in Zimbabwe and we are happy that they are responding well,” he said.

He has three albums in his name “Grace”, “Hamba” and “My Journey”.

“I believe my talent can be used to transform people’s lives in my community. I hope when I release the fourth album people get to understand better the concept of using talent to upgrade your community,” he said.

Nkosi said he was happy that the two musicians Mhere and Zamar have agreed to work with him on the noble cause.

“We have so far been donating books and several other things but now we are in the country with some of the biggest musicians in the country,” he said.

Mhere said he was happy to be assisting Nkosi on that event.

“The Bible is clear that we should assist each other and for this cause Nkosi needs our support,” he said.

He said he would also embark on similar projects in his community.

“We need to work as artistes to give back to our community and in that way God will also bless us and our works,” he said.
