FLAME Lily has warned Hwange to brace themselves for a tough encounter when the two lock horns this afternoon at Chikurubi in the Zimbabwe Women Soccer Super League. Olivia Ngirande, the Flame Lily team manager, said morale in their camp was high. “I believe we will have upper hand, we played them before in the first round of fixtures and beat them 3-0,” said Ngirande.

“Morale in camp is high, all our players are okay although we have one player who was red carded in the last game we played with them, Rejoice Zhange, but otherwise we are all set.”

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Women Football board member (competition), Cecilia Gambe, announced the league will be taking a break to accommodate the approaching holidays.

“The league will break on December 23 and resume again on December 27 before breaking again on the January 1 and resuming on the 3rd.

“We urge those with outstanding matches to play double-headers so that we can finish the league by the end of January,” said Gambe.
