“Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21:23).

The words you speak have power that causes you to either live or die; people are dying because that is what we talk about. If you want to keep yourself from trouble you watch what you say. If this is the case, not many of us have encountered problems we never uttered before.

You should not underestimate the power your tongue produces to cause anything that is there to disappear and to bring about anything that does not exist. What you want to see you say it and it comes, what you want to disappear you speak against it and it will disappear; that is the power of the tongue.

If you do not want what somebody is selling you say that you are not interested, you should not say that you do not have money. Do not ever say that you are broke, if you do that is what will make you broke. We can only know that you have chosen life when we hear you talking about it more often.

What do you talk about on a daily basis? I have made life a topic in my everyday life and that is what brings life to everything around me including people. When Jesus came He had a mission and His mission was to bring life. According to the Book of Hebrews Chapter 9, in the Old Testament they would take the blood of goats and they would sacrifice it. Once every year the high priest had to get into the most holy place with the blood of ox and sacrifice and sprinkle it around the mercy seat.

The sins of the people would be covered for one year. The blood of cattle would cover, not take away or remove the sins of the people for one year. Every year they had to slaughter a beast to cover the sins of the people. Even then in the Old Testament, the blood of goats would still cover their sins. But the question is, if that was really working why then did Jesus come?

God did not even want the cattle to die for any other reason except to be eaten. Jesus Himself did not want goats to die, when He came He became the perfect sacrifice to die for the people. This is the reason why He had to be born in a manger, it is not really because there was no space in a hotel. He is the Lamb of God which was not supposed to be born in a hotel but in a manger. Jesus wanted to bring life even to livestock, He came to stop not just your death but the death of everything you possess.

Livestock had to also celebrate the death of Jesus because He came that they might also have life. Jesus did not just die for you, He died for everything you have. He died for your health, children and everything else you have so that they may also experience life.

That is why the Bible says God so loved the world that He gave His son, it did not say He loved people but everything contained in the world. If you have a farm He also died for it so that it may have life in abundance, even your business as well. Jesus came to replace everything that used to die in your life, it has to be restored. The preaching of the gospel is what brings life and immortality to you because what we preach is what we get.

What we say is what we eat, the words that come out of mouths they sustain us. If you want to die speak death but if you want to live speak life. It is a very clear principle in the Bible; from the beginning of the ministry of Jesus He would speak about Himself being the bread of life, the water of life and the life giver but when He was getting ready to die He changed the subject. He began to talk about His death every now and then so that He can die.

Jesus wanted to die and that is why He started talking about death. The power of the tongue brings about death and life. If He had not spoken about His death, Jesus was never going to die no matter what they did to Him. By talking about death He was choosing death, Jesus killed Himself by talking about His death. Most people have prepared themselves for death, you should not focus on your poor health and say that you will die.

Some might want to argue using people who died in the Bible as examples that death will still come but the truth is those people did not have faith. They had faith in many other areas but not in immortality. Even if I die it is because I do not have faith, it is the question of faith.

If we say that every Christian will eventually die physically I can agree with you but we have to agree again on another matter. We have not developed enough faith to receive eternal life. Christians we have made Christ’s mission an impossible one. From today you have to declare that you are the righteous of God, pure and holy before Him.

Some of you always live a life of confessing your sins before God but, confessing your sins every time does not make you strong. The Bible says that you have to boldly walk in the presence of God with confidence. You are holy before the Lord because He has made you holy. When something goes wrong in life, do not just investigate the thing that has gone wrong, investigate yourself as well.

God ministers life to everything that you have through you; you are the transmitter of life. If there is anything wrong in your life, focus on yourself and investigate what you have been saying of late. Your problem is that you keep postponing your success yet it has to happen now. If you want it now you can have it now because your success is tied to your tongue.
