TOP local advertising agency, Jericho, and the Jupiter Drawing Room (South East Africa), has been appointed the exclusive agents for DSTv Media in the country, in a move that allows local companies to book advertising space across multiple channels on the satellite broadcasting service. Jericho and the Jupiter Drawing Room CEO Mr Delight Magora signed the exclusive deal with DSTv team in Johannesburg recently. The deal allows all DSTv bookings in Zimbabwe to be done through Jericho and Jupiter. Mr Magora said the signing of the deal has brought to an end, the absence of media that “effectively targets . . . the people with money to purchase advertisers’ products in Zimbabwe and across Africa”.
“The use of specialised data to serve ads (adverts) on specific channels on DSTv, makes DSTv in Zimbabwe even more effective than that Holy Grail of marketing — direct marketing. Head of DSTv media sales Mr Antonio Diogo said: “Jericho and Jupiter are solid institutions who will now exclusively represent us in all our advertising and sponsorships.

With an estimated four million Zimbabwean viewers, according to the latest ZAMPS research figures, DSTv remains the medium with the largest penetration in the country.
