As we have been talking in the past weeks, 2016 is the year of a double portion and today we will look on double portion anointing. Everyone needs the anointing, and everyone can get the anointing. Once you get it your life will never be the same again.

No wonder we hear Elisha saying to Elijah when asked what he wanted, I need a double portion of your spirit.

He didn’t go for the man’s wealth, property, clothes or physical thing, no, he went for the source; the very source of the miracles, the prosperity, the blessings and all physical things he saw on his master Elijah.

There will be double everything in this year, yet desire earnestly a double portion of the anointing!

It’s what you need this year, and it will change your life! Read on and discover how you can tap into double portion anointing in 2016 the year of a double portion! O hallelujah!

“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit of God gave them utterance.” Acts 2:4, “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.” From the above scriptures we realise that the early church Christians were not filled with the Holy Ghost just once, no.

It’s not once and for all. You continuously get filled with the Holy Ghost. He is the source of the anointing and the success that comes with it. Its effects can be as tangible as causing even the guava’s you sell to be bought very much. It does cause things to happen for you. Things miraculously work for you, when the anointing is working in your life. You achieve things and success supernaturally. Never attempt to get supernatural things naturally — you need the anointing friend, you need the double portion!

Even finances need to be anointed. When your money is not anointed it achieves nothing in life no-matter how much it is. Many of you are struggling in life because you lack a little bit of oil. You may have the degree but no anointing — unogwesha ukashaya mafuta muhupenyu (you struggle when you lack oil in life). Without the anointing you can buy peaches with the same money you were supposed to buy a bed. O hallelujah. But with the anointing on your life with the same money someone will buy a bag of peaches, you will buy a bed, pillowcases and a bonus or give away of a cover bed with the same money! With the anointing what others did in five years you will do in five months! With the anointing a stubborn and low performing child at school will suddenly become bright and obedient.

But how Bishop you could be asking now? By the anointing of the Holy Spirit! Yes even a dying marriage can get back on its feet and be enjoyable again! O how I desire the anointing of the Holy Ghost on your life. You need it, you need it, and you need it! Be full of the anointing!

They are not just big things that can make you successful in life No, even the little things as selling vegetables can cause you to go high in life.

I know of two men who used to attend services and prayer meetings I led. They started small in a vegetable business, but due to the grace and double portion anointing we are talking about, rose to great business people with one of the most thriving and leading vegetable company today. Friend, you can do it, you can do it. Usanyare nezvaunoita (do not be ashamed with what you do), all you need is the anointing! O hallelujah!

By now you should be asking and wondering, “Ok bishop I heard about the double portion anointing, but what do I need to do from here?” you asked well. First and foremost you need to believe that you can be filled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You need to believe in your heart that I can get it, I can be filled. You can be filled at church, work, home or even in your sleep you can be filled.

Have you not heard of how many get attacked spiritually in their sleep or a bad dream and wake up full of the Holy Ghost, shouting the name of Jesus or speaking in powerful tongues! O glory! I like the double portion of anointing, in 2016. I like it, I like it, I like it.

The double portion anointing is not limited to the church building or environment only; No. It can supersede all that and touch your family, heal your sick body, cancel your burdensome debt, drive away spells, charms, curses and bewitchments that torment and pursue your life. Make no mistakes about it — the double portion anointing is not just for pastors, No! You need the double portion anointing for all of your life’s success. Some people wonder about their lives, we eat but don’t get full, we dress but the clothes quickly tear off, don’t fit or get burnt; even the cars, its breakdown after breakdown? Friend, go for the double portion anointing!

Another point to note however about the double portion anointing is that it brings double persecution! It attracts testing and challenges in your life. Elisha went through a lot before getting the double portion. Discouragements, negativity, criticism and even being told not to follow by his own master, came on Elisha’s way. Yet he knew and stood his ground. 2016, you do not need to fear, No! Persecution can either make you bitter or better. Get better! Double better! Do you want the double portion anointing? Know that you are like someone looking for honey. Where there is honey, there are bees. Be ready to be bitten by challenges if you want the double portion anointing yet the Word tells us we are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. Persecution can bring the best or the worst out of you. Nyuchi dzichiruma, uchi ngatidye! (Despite being bitten by the bees, enjoy the honey). For with God all things are possible, Mark 10:27.
