It will be a double celebration at Junction 24 along Harare-Chitungwiza highway when the joint hosts Jah Prayzah for a family show on Sunday. The joint will be celebrating its first anniversary while Jah Prayzah celebrates the successful unveiling of his DVD album “Kumbumura Mhute”. Junction 24 was opened on November 22 last year and tomorrow marks its first anniversary.

The family show on Sunday will celebrate the venue’s one year of providing quality outdoor entertainment.

Jah Prayzah released his DVD last week and the production has been met with overwhelming response, which gives the musician every reason to celebrate.

The DVD has made waves over the past week and Jah Prayzah is basking in the glory of a market-busting product that has enhanced his position among the cream of local music.

His manageress Filda Muchabaiwa said the DVD was selling like hot cakes and they would celebrate its success at the Junction 24 family show.

“Our music appeals to all age groups and we want to take the family show opportunity to thank our fans for the support and celebrate with them,” she said.

“We took our time to shoot the DVD and it has been well-received.

“This has been our year and we are looking forward to a brighter future. We do not forget our fans that make our music great and we take every opportunity to celebrate with them.”

Tavepi Madzingira of Junction 24 said they are happy to celebrate a year in showbiz.

“It has been an eye-opening year for us. We had various programmes and we hosted many musicians.

“New patrons are still coming and we know we will get to a higher position with time.

“Outdoor entertainment is our business and we will do our best to give people various programmes in our second year,” he said.

“We are new comers but we successfully held the inaugural Junction 24 Arts Festival and Market, which we hope to expand next year.

“We thank people that have supported us over the last year and we are optimistic of bigger things next year.

“This first year deserves celebration and we want people to come with their families on Sunday to have fun with Jah Prayzah.
