THE Dynamos faction led by Ernest Kamba are not looking back at their scheduled extra ordinary general meeting in which they are set to review the club’s leadership at Prince Edward School this afternoon.Kamba and his faction have maintained that the current board headed by Bernard Marriot is illegal and wants the club to revert to the set-up that was established at the 2008 annual general meeting.

“We are inviting all former Dynamos players to come Prince Edward and help us in solving the Dynamos issues.

“We are the shareholders and we have to make resolutions on the board of directors which is not existent at the moment.

“We want to know how those who claim to be on the board how they were elected and how they came to be there. I am one of the shareholders but I have never been told or advised of any Annual General Meetings nor the budgets since 2008 when we last had the last legitimate AGM.

“We want to have a board that will then select the executive that will take care of player’s contracts and signing on fees. It must be properly constituted and they should be proper people in place who must also look at the sponsorship status,” said Kamba.

All has not been well for the Dynamos family on the field of play for the past two seasons and this has led to the renewed boardroom fights.

DeMbare board chairman Marriot has since dismissed whatever the outcome of today’s meeting as inconsequential.

With rivals Highlanders celebrating their 90 years of existence on tomorrow, the Glamour Boys have been invited to play a friendly match in Bulawayo but it looks they could still be engrossed in the crisis.

Kamba said he is worried with the state of affairs at the club he claims to love so much.

He said Dynamos should by now have a stadium of its own and properties to show for their 50 years of existence.

“At the moment we do not even have a bicycle written Dynamos. We do not have a stadium and our plan to have a 99 year lease for Rufaro Stadium was shot down.

“We must get land, build our own stadium with facilities for the junior teams, a club house and we also need a ladies team playing in the league. Other sports such as darts, pool should also be a feature at the club.

“At the moment everyone is just selling regalia and benefiting from the Dynamos name when the players are suffering and our coffers dry. We were embarrassed by the money we owe CBZ and we must look at those critical issues and come with contingent plans to pay the debt.

Kamba who coached Dynamos in 1983 and won the league championship and the BAT trophy with a team that featured Japhet Mparutsa, Sunday Chidzamba, Hamid Dhana, Lincolin Mutasa and Misheck Chidzambwa among other is hurt by the current state of affairs.

“We are very sad and we have to bring to an end the mistakes that has been going for long. We were lucky not to have been relegated. Lloyd (Mutasa) and Murape (Murape) did well under difficult conditions.

“We must not blame the coach for the poor result but we must blame the board that can’t even account for the gate takings.

“It was not their fault and we are luck that we ended on a reasonable position. The problem has been building and we cannot leave it like that.”

Kamba believes Dynamos is a very big brand which should be able to sustain the club without problems.

“At Dynamos we must always be competing to be champions and we must have done a lot of investments. At the moment clubs that have been in existence for less than five years are owning a number of things,” said Kamba

The former Dynamos player made his name between 1966 and 1976 playing alongside the likes of Lameck Mlambo, George Yoyo, Daniel Ncube, Shaw Handriade and George Shaya. He was crowned Soccer Star of the Year in 1973.
