Several dancehall musicians unite for the birthday of Star FM’s presenter Pathisani Sibanda to be held at the City Sports Bar on Friday. The line-up includes dancehall heavyweights Killer T, Seh Calaz, Kinna, Guspy Warrior, Freeman and Mosstaff.

Event organiser Biggie Chinoperekwei said they were looking forward to a great show as they celebrate the birthday of the talented presenter.

“We found it proper to have a birthday party for him and we are happy that all the musicians involved have confirmed their participation,” said Chinoperekwei.

He said it will be one of the events music lovers would not want to miss.

“It has been long since we have a dancehall show like this one. People have to come in their numbers to have fun with Sibanda,” he said.

He assured music lovers of a show that is violence free.

“This is a birthday celebration and we are sure that people will come with the spirit of celebration,” he said.

Musicians who spoke to this publication promised fireworks at the show.

Killer T said it was a good to be performing at the event.

“Arts industry is not for musicians only but also those who are active in it so this is an event that everyone should not miss as we celebrate the birthday,” he said.

Killer T is riding high with his new album “Ngoma Ndaimba”. Songs such as “Takumbofara” and “Ita Ndione” are fast gaining ground.

This will be a chance for Kinna to introduce his new album that will be launched on Saturday at Stodart Hall in Mbare. Sibanda said it was an honour that the musicians and a local promoter managed to have such an event.

“I am at loss of words as people have shown their love. I thank them and also the Star FM team for their love,” he said.
