CUT Hotel, a strategic business unit of Chinhoyi University of Technology has assumed management of Orange Grove Hotel and Conference Centre, three years after the Government institution acquired the property.

Following the acquisition of the property, the university entered into a lease agreement with a local company which operated the hotel until December 2014 as OG Motel.

“Traditionally, Orange Grove Hotel has been known as a recreational hub for the Chinhoyi community and beyond. It is our obligation to restore the once marvelled lustre and glamour,” general manager for CUT Hotel Mr Innocent Manyera said.

The addition of the 42-roomed Orange Grove Hotel to CUT Hotel’s portfolio would provide an impetus to hold conferences, said Mr Manyera, adding that

the rooms’ offering comes with nine deluxe suites with all

the amenities of a luxurious hotel.

This has led to the creation of sub-brands namely Umzari Conference Room, The Grove Restaurant and The Legends Bar. Further, the Motel has introduced a number of packages for both the business and leisure market.

This includes, but not limited to tailor-made conference packages, a unique Pub Lunch Menu for quick-fix meals and hot Friday Karaoke Nights.

He said the management was enthusiastic and upbeat of the new dispensation, while the community was optimistic of unparalleled innovation that will meet their expectations.

Set on the peripherals of the leafy suburb of Orange Grove in Chinhoyi and about a kilometre from the town centre, the hotel offers a distinctive complement to the CUT Hotel giant and a definite alternative for the discerning traveller.

“Orange Grove Hotel is indeed the perfect getaway from everyday life. Whatever one may need from simple refreshing outings to business meetings, this is the place to be,” CUT Hotel marketing executive Mr Zororo Marangwanda said.
