The Old Crow Bar at the Courtney Hotel is fast gaining popularity with the Friday Old Skool nights hosted by Huggiez Entertainment. The place has seen a change of management since the revival of the once popular mature venue and the new management is on track to bring back the good old days.The trio of Mr Cool, Chuman and D-train that make up Huggiez Entertainment has been entertaining the mature for the past decade and are not new to the game.

Commenting about the old skool sessions, entertainment coordinator at the Old Crow Pitshou Minsiommi said: “People are responding well to the session and we are happy.

“Despite having Huggiez every Friday we are going to introduce Afro nights every Wednesday and we already in talks with Afrocentric artistes to come and play.

“This will also serve as a sundowner after work.

“Admission to the venue is free and we serve cold drinks as well as affordable braai. We have also introduced traditional lunch during the week from 12.30pm.

“Infact the Restaurant will be open throughout to ensure our patrons do not go hungry.”

Despite the harsh economic conditions in the country, entertainment venues are doing everything they can to ensure revellers do not run short of entertainment and the Courtney Hotel is not an exception.

Tonight Huggiez Entertainment will be on turntables.
