Dunamis With Bishop Prof. B. Manjoro
In the past weeks we discovered how the favour of God is stirred by faith; when we mix the word of God with faith — great and impossible things take place.

When we doubt, and mix the word with doubt, something will also happen! Like Ahab’s general when we doubt, we will see the manifestation of the word yes, but we will not partake of it.

It will be of no use and of no benefit to you. Yet today I share with you the need to be yourself and coming out of the cave of fear, worry and inferiority.

“Let us, therefore, lest, a promise, being left us of entering his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not benefit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it” (Hebrews 4:1-2).

From our text we learn that the children of Israel indeed heard the word, but it did not work for them. They had a word and a promise on healing, wealth, prosperity, joy, peace, fruitfulness, wisdom, dominion and authority yet it did not benefit them.

You see, no-matter how much of the Word you hear, as long as you are still in the cave of fear, worry and inferiority you will not enjoy the promises of God.

You will die a miserable man or woman. If I ask someone to stand upright now and give a testimony in church, you will mumble, look around and see if I pointed you or someone behind you.

Inferiority inhibits the work of God in someone’s life.

Even if you become a bishop or a leader at any level and in any sphere but still worry a lot about what people think about you, your family, your spouse or your personality you will not be productive.

You can be a director at a company but yet in the cave of inferiority and worry. The company and subordinates will suffer due to your inferiority. Come out of that cave and walk in great success for your life.

Many a times we point fingers at other people and things as problem-causers for our lives.

It could be in your marriage, finances, business, academics, spiritual life and other key areas of your life where you always see other people or circumstances as your problem.

I have a secret to tell you and show you; have you realised that when you are pointing one finger at someone, the rest of the fingers will be pointing back at you?

O hallelujah I like it, I like it!

What it means is that you are more responsible of your life than any outside force that comes your way.

All you need to do is to shake yourself and come out of the cave of fear! “The fear of man bringeth a snare,” Proverbs 29:25

Fear of man, fear of the future, fear of failure, fear of situations will drain you of all faith and rob you of God’s blessings for 2015.

Whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever is surrounding you right now, fear not. God is your God. You could be in a very harsh spot right now and no pillar to lean on, wondering what your tomorrow will be like.

Your marriage could be on the rocks right now, no joy, no laughter in the house, cold silence brooding in the air — you are the right person for this article, fear not. Something good is going to happen!

I was in Mozambique a few days ago. I was preaching to a very big crowd.

It was a foreign field yet I boldly preached the word and gave Bibles to communities and churches.

Probably you already know in your heart that God has called you to be a preacher but because of what people say about being a preacher, you begin to see a vulnerable life, in need and having no tangible direction in your life.

Ah come on, people are people and will always talk what they think.

It’s what God says and thinks that matters. You can heal the sick, cast out devils and do the impossible. Young people hear me; you can be who you want to be in life. You can be an accountant, a manager, a landlord, an engineer, a pastor, a great leader and whoever God has called you to be, despite even your discouraging exam results. Failure one time; is no failure in the whole life-time. Come on, go at it again. Try again. All you need is to come out of fear and walk by faith!

I challenge you today, be bold in your life. Do what you have never done before. Act on your dreams and visions. Don’t be limited by what you heard happened to other people.

You can break records. Elijah did not die, he went to heaven alive, the same with Enoch, the man who walked with God and did not see death. Faith is not sitting down. No, you act.

If you have faith to pray for the sick, don’t just sit.

When you hear your aunt complain of sickness, lay hands and pray for her. Or even at the hospital, go in the wards and kindly ask, “can I pray for you”?

Then pray in faith to God, believing that God will heal them. Tell the sicknesses to go in Jesus’ name. O, hallelujah!

In 1968, I went for my friend’s wedding in Nyanyadzi by train. It was full of people and I said to myself, “here is an opportunity to preach since I get no chance at church”. But I had to shake off fear and come out of the cave of inferiority!

I started speaking in a low tone, preaching in the train — until in a moment the power of the Spirit of God touched me and I boldly preached all night in the train.

The ticket man said, “please pastor, give me a moment to check tickets as you continue with the word”. It was a powerful night.

Despite one man who threatened me with a knife saying Hey I will remove your eye with this knife, I kept preaching and many people were transformed and saved that night.

Fear is not your portion. Come out of the cave of fear in Jesus’ name. For with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27).
