Don’t mix bad words with your mood. You will have many opportunities to change a mood but you will never get the opportunity to replace the words you spoke. It is definitely good to be back and a lot has been happening on the television set with more and more programmes being revealed on the different channels. One challenge with television is what you promise people should be it and relevant hence the value of their money.

Looking at music how it can shape a society with their videos.

Music has long been an expression of people from different cultures around the world.

I must give thumbs up to whoever is doing Coke on the Beat (screened on every Saturdays at 7pm on ZBC TV), the director behind as now we have the feel of not only the Zimbabwean music but regional.

Back in the day it was more of the Chris Brown and Rihanna videos forgetting our own and the region at large.

Yes the Chris Brown tops the charts but remember local is lekker and we should start supporting our own for them to make it internationally.

Well done Mr Director, keep those African trendy music videos alive. Again I had an opportunity to have a chat with a content intern for Zambezi Magic, Gilbert Chapara who is producing the Zim Top 10 on Zambezi Magic channel.

I loved how he is passionate about Zimbabwean videos but is being let down by some music video producers who never shared the videos and at times he has to download them on YouTube.

Can’t imagine.

I shared with him that we have a lot of music videos but it is just that some of our producers shun themselves, ignorant and don’t even know how to submit.

Again many thought the show is for the hip-hop and elite class hence some videos were not suitable to be in the category.

Surprisingly, he said no! According to Chapara, the Zim Top 10 is designed to support the burgeoning Zimbabwean music industry and create a platform for artists and video producers to showcase their talents.

“Curated by Zambezi Magic and totally picked by the viewers, the Zim Top 10 lets viewers pick which fresh tracks they’d like to see at the top of the charts via their social media votes.

The Zim Top 10 also features classic Zimbabwean videos, exclusive brand new video debuts and some of the freshest videos from the SADC region. The Zim Top 10 is all about the music and is your weekly fix of the hottest music from Zimbabwe and SADC,” he said.

With that in mind, why wait and not grab the opportunity? Zambezi Magic is for SADC; somehow we know you want to rush to be on Channel O, Trace, and MTV Base among others forgetting charity begins at home. I rest my case.
