ONE of Zimbabwe’s leading elevator companies, Clovgate Elevator Company, has introduced non-proprietary elevator and escalator technology in Zimbabwe and the region in partnership with Kinetek Elevator and Escalator Group, a global elevator industry player.

Clovgate views the exclusive arrangement with Kinetek as a stepping stone towards its target to help more than 5000 building owners and managers to keep their elevator systems running over the next two years. The deal means that the cornerstone of Kinetek’s product heritage—non-proprietary, serviceable and maintainable elevator controls — can now be found in Clovgate’s elevator packages. Buoyed by the exclusive arrangement with Kinetek, which it considers as a strategic enhancement to its operations in Zimbabwe and the region, Clovgate is set to establish an online store for Kinetek equipment and replacement parts and accessories for any brand of elevators and escalators, principally from its elevator shop in Sandton, South Africa.

Through the partnership with Kinetek and driven by a market need for custom-tailored elevator packages, Clovgate, can provide optimal solutions for new construction projects and complete modernisation and partial upgrades.

From controls and machines to cabs and fixtures, Clovgate provides an abundance of options from basic Group 1 running platforms, to Group 2 standard packages with sophisticated cabs, entrances and finishes.

On the service and repair front, Clovgate is currently repositioning itself to adequately provide cost-effective elevator engineering solutions to its existing and prospective clients.

“ It is costly to re-lease space, and therefore, every effort should be made in seeing that your elevators and escalators are in the care of a reputable, reliable and responsive service provider with capacity to service the equipment promptly, efficiently and courteously,” said Mr Jeche.
