Some of the action at the National Association of Primary Heads (NAPH) in BIndura recently

Chipindura Primary School of Bindura have every reason to smile after being crowned the 2015 National Association of Primary Heads (NAPH)/ Nestle Zimbabwe Physical Education Competition winners. The competitions were held at Chipindura Primary. Chipindura representing Mashonaland Central faced off nine other schools from each of the other nine provinces in the country.

For demonstrating that they are the best at playing well after eating well, Chipindura received a trophy and $3000 from Nestle Zimbabwe.

Penemene Primary School from Matebeleland South also smiled all the way to the bank after they came second and received $2000 and a trophy. In third place to win a trophy and $1000 was Murereka Primary School of Mashonaland West.

All the other schools that competed got a cool $500 in consolation prizes.

Nestle Zimbabwe has partnered NAPH to bring back physical education in schools by sponsoring the competition and also launching their booklet and work book to help children eat well, play well and grow well while enjoying it all.

Nestle has taken boring out of good lifestyle choices so every child can avoid diseases linked to obesity and malnutrition.

PE used to be a big competition for primary schools then it died out. Now it is back with a bang and schools are straining to outdo each other in showing that exercise is not hard and a chore, but good fun.

Pilot schools from each province got the first batch of booklets at the competitions and Nestle looks forward to spreading the programme so that all schools in the country get the books.
