TOP female golfer Loice Chingono is expected to continue her dominance when the Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Open strokeplay tournament tees off at Royal Harare this morning.
The event is the biggest women’s golf tournament on the local calendar. Chingono is expected to impose herself on the field and has been doing well, winning several local tournaments.

Chingono, Yolanda Mubaiwa, Shamiso Makwara, Aulia Alfazema and Arcy Zerf, and a pool of foreigners, are set to provide the challenge. The championship and A Division players teed off yesterday while the B and C Divisions get onto the course today and tomorrow. Championship players have a handicap of between 0-11 while the A Division is for players on 12-18 handicaps.

The B Division will feature players handicapped between 19 to 26 with 27 to 36 handicap golfers are set to compete in the C Division. The Championship and A Divisions will take part in a 54-hole battle over three-days while the B and C divisions are set to play 36 holes.

Ugandan Jasper Kamukama is the other foreign golfer to look out for in the field.

Promising local juniors, Daniella Bekker and Margaret Nyamukondiwa, are also expected to dominate the A and B Divisions.
