Pineapple

Chengetayi Nosikhumbuzo Mnisi, better known as “Pineapple” the “Fineapple”, is the Capitalk digital producer and co-hosts the Capital Clique that airs every Saturday from 10am to 2pm.Pineapple is an all-round creative person who is very inquisitive and enjoys social media. Her ultimate goal is to build and raise a generation of creative leaders that will contribute to the success of the Zimbabwe Entertainment Industry.

1. How did you first get into the media industry?

Social media management at Nafuna TV.

2. What would you say most motivates you to do what you do?

People! One day someone should be able to say because of Chengetayi I did not give up.

3. What attracted you to work for Capitalk FM?

The opportunity to be a part of Zimbabwean history! Working for the first and only premium Harare talk radio station.

4. Do you have any key mentors or people who deeply influenced who you are, what you believe in and what you’re committed to in your work and life?

My great grandmother Edith Goto is my source of inspiration. She epitomises strength, patience, hard work and love. Her life motivates me to be the best woman that I can be.

5. What sets you apart from other people in the media industry?

My passion and energy! I make things happen!

6. What things do you not like to do?

Waste time!

7. If you could speak to yourself as a 10-year-old, what would you tell yourself?

It’s okay to be different from everyone else, your imperfections are what make you unique, and they are the foundation of your greatness. Embrace your weirdness.

8. What is your proudest achievement to date?

My dance studio: Pineapple Creative Studio.

9. What do you work toward in your free time?

Perfecting my art as a choreographer and literature

10. If you are sitting where you are a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you at Capitalk FM, what have you achieved?

Recognition as the most influential youth personality on radio in Harare.
