Motswana sensation Magdeline Lesolebe, who is popularly known as Charma Gal, is set to re-launch her new album “Chomi Yami” in Mutare on Saturday. The energetic musician is set to launch the album at Pick and Save in the Eastern Capital. The album has a Shona track “Mari Muroyi” that has a sungura feel. Charma Gal sings fluently on the Shona song which explores the evils of money that usually lead to divisions in the society.
She urges people in Africa to remain united despite facing difficulties and temptations because of money.

In an interview the musician said she had decided to launch her album in Zimbabwe because of the fan base that she has cultivated.
“The people in Zimbabwe have shown their confidence in us and we have decided to have a launch of “Chomi Yami” in Mutare,” she said.

She decided to have a Shona track on her album to show her affection for Zimbabweans.
“Zimbabwe is a good country and that explains why I decided to do a song in Shona to show how I love the people in the country,” she said.
She hailed Zimbabwean artistes for being professional and talented.

“When I came for Jah Prayzah’s album launch, I discovered that Zimbabwe has got talent and it was encouraging since it opened doors for me,” said Charma.
She also encouraged artistes to remain united in entertaining and educating people.

“We should not act like politicians. In fact, politicians appear to fight in public yet they work together in the background and fool the people into fighting.
“As musicians, if we are to fight, let us fight on stage through music,” she said She will be sharing the stage with Jah Prayzah on the launch.

Show organiser Esau Mupfumi said they decided to have the two musicians at the joint to complement each other.
“This is just a different show because this is her first time to perform here in Mutare,” he said.
He said he was engaging some government officials to attend the event.

“We need to support them as artists so we are in the process of having some officials at the show,” he said.
