CHAPUNGU coach John Nyikadzino is confident his side will collect maximum points when they face ZPC Kariba in a Castle Lager Premiership tie at Nyamhunga this afternoon.

Nyikadzino’s side allowed How Mine to score a late equaliser at Ascot in their last game.

“It will be exciting to meet an in-form team and we hope to do well in this game after we managed many draws in our previous matches,” said Nyikadzino.

“We need to stay focused as we are giving away points in matches which we should easily win.

“Playing at Nyamhunga will give us extra motivation as we need to travel for something. I am sure this is a game we should collect maximum points.”

Chapungu will miss the services of three key players, who are out injured.

“We will do with what we have as we will miss Hlahla Ncube, Agrippa Tekere and former Buffaloes holding midfielder Tafadzwa Mombeshora.

“The trio’s absence will be felt, but we have a large pool of players who can replace them.

“ZPC Kariba are one of the teams to beat and their defeat last week will count for nothing and we will do our best to win the match,” said Nyikadzino.

ZPC Kariba coach Sunday Chidzambwa said there were no easy games in the Premiership.

“We have been working very hard for the past week preparing for this game. We are playing well, but at times you have to accept some results like last week’s defeat (against Highlanders),” said Chidzambwa.

“The boys are looking forward to the match and no one is injured and all the players are available for selection.”
