A six-minute blitz in the second half powered champions Dynamos to victory, their second at Barbourfields in as many away games this season, as they came from behind to beat Bantu Rovers in this Castle Lager Premiership tie.

DeMbare trailed for long periods after going down to a 13th minute strike from Nqobizitha Masuku but an embarrassing moment of madness by the home side’s goalkeeper and a substitution that went horribly wrong saw Bantu Rovers leak three goals inside six minutes to turn the match on its head.

Leading 1-0, Rovers goalkeeper Brighton Chipula demoralised his teammates when he conceded a silly corner kick after trying out a few tricks with the ball from a speculative but harmless shot by Stephen Alimenda.

From the resultant corner kick, DeMbare pounced and all hell broke loose.
DeMbare coach Callisto Pasuwa was a relieved man after getting maximum points, their second in Bulawayo in as many visits.

“There were better than us in the first half as we were always second on the ball but in the second half I think we put up a better show,” said Pasuwa.
The introduction of Obadiah Tarumbwa for hard-running Sizalobuhle Dube just before the resumption of the second half and Moses Majika also saw Dynamos start to take the game to their opponents with Partson Jaure suddenly finding his game playing on the rightback position.

The defining moment came when Alimenda released a harmless shot from just outside the centre circle which should not have given Chipula any problem.
The former Triangle goalkeeper chested it instead of just getting hold of the ball but the ball deceived him and went over the line for a corner kick.

The resultant dead ball saw the tall Sydney Linyama rising high to nod the ball home for the equaliser.
The Mpilo End that houses Dynamos fans suddenly erupted into life.

From there onwards the Bantu Rover players, who had Emmanuel Dube, Zephania Ngodzo youngsters Tafadzwa Kutinyu and Bukhosi Sibanda playing well, suddenly became a pale shadow and once you do that against Dynamos, calamity usually follows.

And yesterday it did.
A minute-and-half later Jaure, who now was finding acres of space with overlapping runs from the rightback position, won possession deep in his own half on the Mpilo End and shrugged off his marker before charging forward.

As he crossed the centre line he passed the ball to Washington Pakamisa, who had a miserable afternoon, but on this occasion, the stocky forward took the right option.
He released an onrushing Cliff Seekete, whose body swerve fooled a Bantu Rovers defender before side-footing the ball into the nets.

Four minutes later, another quick counter attack by Dynamos saw Devon Chafa making a solo run after getting the better of Ngodzo before scoring his first goal of the season and the team’s third.

It was a forgettable six minutes of torture for Bantu Rovers, who had spiritedly fought another wave of attack in the first 10 minutes of the match before taking a well-deserved lead in the 13th minute.

A disappointed Methembe Ndlovu, the Bantu Rovers coach, however, refused to blame his goalkeeper for the defeat saying they lose and win as a team.
Chipula had a nightmare debut at Barbourfields last season in Triangle colours when his delaying antics saw a battling Bosso finally getting maximum points following 16 minutes of time added on.

“We are obviously disappointed that we lost,” said Methembe.
“We had prepared well for this match. Our young guys really gave it their best and I believe if he had kept a clean sheet for about 20 minutes in the second half things would have been different.”
