THE CAPS United trio of Dominic Chungwa, Ronald Pfumbidzayi and Stephen Makatuka look set to stay at the Green Machine despite the uncertainty that has shrouded their future in recent days.

The Green Machine has made it a priority that the three players remain at the club and the situation has been helped in recent days by developments in the club’s boardroom.

CAPS United president Twine Phiri and his partner Farai Jere have been quietly setting the tempo for the forthcoming season and the retaining of key players is top of their list of priorities.

Phiri and Jere thrashed out a new deal in their partnership and the signs coming from the Green Machine camp is that it has blown a breath of fresh air into their team. Some players who were set to leave the club appear to have been charmed by the reports emerging from the boardroom and are now having a change of heart.

Reports also indicate that the Green Machine could become active on the market soon by bringing in some new blood.

Already Hardlife Zvirekwi, one of the key players at the club, has committed himself to another dance with the team.

Chungwa, Pfumbidzai and Makatuka might not be training with the team, since last week, but the signs are looking good that they will be part of the Green Machine this year.
