Cabinet resumes sitting

Cabinet resumes sitting tomorrow after a long break, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda has announced. In a statement last night, Dr Sibanda urged all Cabinet Ministers to attend.

“The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda wishes to advise all Cabinet members that the First Cabinet meeting of 2015 will take place on Tuesday, 27th January at the usual time and venue. Cabinet members are, therefore, requested to plan and prepare accordingly,” read a statement from the Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services.

Tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting would see Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko and some Ministers registering their inaugural sitting after they were appointed in December last year after a party and Government clean-up by President Mugabe.

President Mugabe made appointments to replace those who were fired over their links to expelled former Vice President Joice Mujuru, who was working to unconstitutionally unseat her boss.
