A five-year-old boy from Chitungwiza sold out his assailant to his grandmother by telling her how he was allegedly sexually abused by her landlord’s son aged 14. The incident took place on November 14 last year at around 5pm. The boy revealed the abuse after his grandmother had sent him to check on why other children who were playing inside the house were making a lot of noise.

He reportedly told his grandmother that maybe the children “were having sexual intercourse.” Surprised by the minor’s response, she inquired who taught him about “sexual intercourse.”

The minor reportedly narrated to her that her landlord’s son had sodomised him.

Prosecutor, Mrs Karen Kunaka alleged that on the fateful day, the 14-year-old took the minor to his room.

While inside, the 14-year-old allegedly sodomised the minor.

After the act, the minor was released and went to play outside while his assailant remained inside.

The court heard that shortly after, he was called by his grandmother and sent inside the house to check why other children were making a lot of noise.

And on responding, he suggested that the noise could have been caused by sexual acts taking place.

She inquired and he narrated his ordeal and the matter was reported to the police leading to the boy’s arrest.
