Teenage author Kudzaishe Manenji’s latest book “Seven Keys of Becoming a Better Christian” explores hands-on aspects towards an enriched Christian life. Kudzaishe told Cool Lifestyle that the book is driven by his determination to disseminate the gospel of Christ. Each of the “seven keys,” namely prayer and fasting, Bible study, fighting in the right battlefield, evangelism, thoughts and confessions, trusting in the word and praise and worship, is explored in a separate chapter. These life-enhancing virtues are backed up by testimonies and practical examples. “The book conveys illustrations with personal experiences which I received from people whom I preached to and came back with a testimony,” Kudzaishe said.

He described the cover image which shows light infiltrating through darkness as an illustration of how the knowledge of the gospel builds up in an individual.  “Writing is my calling. It is an instrument I intend to use to propagate the gospel. I have set my sights on becoming a pastor.” Kudzaishe is also a motivational speaker and lay preacher. He spares no effort when it comes to sharing the God’s Word.

“I am honoured that the public has received my book very well and it has sold over 100 copies so far. Although I faced financial challenges which delayed the publication, I managed to raise the funds required for publishing with the help of my parents,” Kudzaishe said. “I use mobile marketing to sell my book at US$7.

“The book can be accessed anywhere in Zimbabwe. I also run a Facebook page called ‘Seven Keys of Becoming a Better Christian,” he said.
Kudzaishe has previously also co-authored a book with fellow teenage gospel ambassadors called “Power of the Holy Spirit” in addition to a poetry collection.

“I have co-founded two organisations Global Reach Out Foundation and Jesus Ambassadors with 20 friends. We are involved in charity and community service at homes like St Giles, St Marceline  and Ruwa Rehabilitation.” Kudzaishe attended Bernard Mzeki and Kutama College and is a prospective University of Zimbabwe Bachelor of Arts student. He is one of six siblings in a family with three sets of twins.

His hobbies are writing and cooking.
