ZRP Morris coach Martin Bonyongwe is expecting his team to continue from where they left at the end of the first round of the ZIFA Northern Region Division One season when they host Karoi United at Morris this afternoon. Bonyongwe’s team, who were anchoring the log by Week 11, managed to put together a five-game winning streak to move out of the relegation zone.

They are now sitting on 24 points only four points adrift of second-placed Mushowani Stars.

ZRP Morris will meet their bogey side Karoi United.

“We are expecting a tough match, they have always been our bogey side and coming from the mid-season break we hope to continue from where we left.

“We hope to start by winning so that we boost our morale,” Bonyongwe said.

Former Zimbabwe international defender David “Diva” Kutyauripo was the major casualty during the ZIFA Northern Region Division One mid-season break after he was dismissed from his job as Mufakose United coach.

The former Dynamos and Harare City player was sacked together with his lieutenants Conrad Nyambabvu and Godlin Mapisa.

He was replaced by Tendai Chapfika.
