THE Bob Super Cup marks its fifth anniversary this year with giants Dynamos likely to defend their title in the invitational tournament.
DeMbare have participated in all the editions of the tournament since 2011 when they clashed with bitter rivals CAPS United in the inaugural Bob87 Super Cup.

Organisers yesterday told The Herald that another football showpiece was in the offing in a tournament that celebrates the birthday of President Mugabe.

Stan Kasukuwere, one of the organisers of the tournament, said an announcement on the Bob91 Super Cup will be made in due course.

He said focus now was on the 21st February Movement celebrations set for this weekend in Victoria Falls.

“As per tradition we don’t do counter attractions to the main event by the Youth League and at the moment we are busy helping them fund-raise for the big celebration,” said Kasukuwere.

“Only after the big event has passed will we then shift focus to the invitational soccer tournament and the media would be updated at every stage.

DeMbare lifted the Cup when they won 2-0 with Masimba Mambare and Ronald Chitiyo scoring.
