GREG Bentley has qualified for the Cape Town Open after a good round which he finished on one-under-par after Monday’s qualifying round. The event was held at the Royal Cape Golf Club in Cape Town, South Africa. The Borrowdale Brooke professional was the only local professional who made it out of the 25 players who took their chance. Bentley started the single round on a high note with two birdies coming on the first nine, on holes two and five, but dropped a shot on the eighth to finish on one-under-par.

The second round saw Bentley maintain his good touch.
On the local circuit Kiren Vincent was the toast of the day at the annual Zimbabwe Matchplay when he got the better of Howard Bhauti at Wingate.

Vincent finished the three rounds with 30 point while Bhauti was on 28 points.
Stuart Krog finished third on 26 points while Pride Sembo was fourth.

Tonderai Masunga, Visitor Mapwanya, Jack Allard, Never Milazi Thembelani Vundhla and Sherpard Chiwaya completed the top 10 of the event.
