Tawanda Marwizi Recently in Masvingo
Several artistes converged for the “Save Mollene Campaign” show that was held at Caravan Park in Masvingo on Saturday. The gig was meant to raise money for Mollen Makoni who is due to travel to India for a kidney transplant. Suluman Chimbetu, Sebastain Magacha, Mathias Mhere, Somandla Ndebele and Zoey performed at the event. The musicians did not disappoint hundreds of fans who came for the show.

Zoey was the first musician to take the stage before gospel musician Magacha thrilled fans.
His songs “Makaponesa Mweya” and “Bhosvo” excited fans. Next on stage was Mhere who belted out songs from his previous albums “NdiMwari” and “Anoita Minana” before leaving the stage for Ndebele.

Mafia as the musician is fondly known managed to keep revelers entertained with most of his yesteryear songs.
Sulu was the last artist to perform at the event and he managed to maintain the standards set by other artists.

He introduced new songs “Nyuchi” “Mbudzi” and “Mukanya” much to the delight of the fans.
The show ended on a bad note as fans were calling for the dancehall master of the moment, Tocky Vibes.

Organisers had announced that the musician would be part of the show but he failed to come. Killer Zivhu who is the Zimbabwe Amalgamated Housing Association director and Chivi Rural District Council chairman handed the proceedings to Makoni after the show.

“We want to thank the people for their kindness and we encourage them to keep that spirit so that we move as a nation,” said Zivhu.
Health and Child Care deputy minister Paul Chimedza thanked Zivhu for his initiative to assist cancer patients.

“As the Ministry we are grateful to people like Mr Zivhu who are assisting cancer patients,” said Chimedza.
He urged them to form a foundation so that it keeps on supporting people.

“I urge you to form a foundation with structures and as a ministry we will be supporting you,” he said.
