THE Barbarians continued with their rampage when they thrashed a hapless Zimbabwe Under-19 second string side also known as the Goshawks, 81-15 at Harare Sports Club yesterday.
This was the worst defeat any of the Zimbabwe sides have suffered against the England Independent Schools as Mbare Academy lost 76-0 on Sunday, while Prince Edward school have proven to have given the Britons their toughest test so far following a 6-26 loss on Monday.

At first it was a blow for blow game, the Barbarians drawing first blood with a Tom Jones try that winger Juyin Olejuyami failed to convert and Zimbabwe replied in the same manner missing a conversion to level the scores 5-5 in the first seven minutes.

It was in the next three minutes that the Lambs added their second five pointer through prop Jack Edwards and Olejuyami’s boot was accurate this time and as was the case with the first try, Zimbabwe replied with a converted try in the 12th minute. The Lambs then scored 13 tries, eight of them converted against the Goshawks who managed only two tries while only one of the conversions went through the posts. Potter, Edwards and Bailey each scored a brace of touch downs while Juyin scored eight points from the boot before adding his own try.

Other tries came from Jones, Eliott Roofe, Christe, Will Pepper, Jack Tinker, Sam Rossiter and Paddy Talerton who all scored a try each in what seemed like a scoring spree for the Alex Laybourne coached side.
