MADRID. — Gareth Bale is confident his partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo can fire Real Madrid to the treble this season.
The former Tottenham winger has recovered from a slow start to show glimpses of his best form for the Spanish giants. He scored a stunning free-kick in Madrid’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Galatasaray on Wednesday night to make sure of top spot in Group B.

“Cristiano’s been great since I’ve been here and helped me a lot,’ he told Ask Men.

“I think the partnership we’re creating on the pitch is very positive. We’re looking forward to that getting better and better in the future.

“My ambitions are” to win the league. And the Champions League. And the Copa del Rey! For us, every tournament we enter is something we should be winning. Hopefully at the end of the season we’ll be there with a lot of those trophies.’

Bale also revealed Ronaldo has helped him adjust to life in the city, offering support and advice.

And the 24-year-old backed his team-mate to win the coveted Ballon d’Or ahead of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

“Ronaldo is the best player in the world at the moment,” he added. ‘I think he’s on another level to everyone else. He’s show in every single game what he’s capable of and he just delivers every week. He’s the best and deserves the Ballon d’Or.’

Madrid are currently third in La Liga, six points behind leaders Barcelona.
