The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) bids farewell to assistant director (Arts Promotion and Development) Mrs Audrey Charamba.She leaves the Council after being at the helm of the programming department of NACZ since June 14, 2011.

Some of Mrs Charamba’s key roles included formulating departmental policies and creating strategic partnership with key stakeholders in the arts and culture industry, as well as identification, monitoring and implementation of viable income generating projects and supervising the implementation of NACZ programmes. She was the council’s link person with the parent ministry in the development and drafting of the National Culture Policy.

She is a holder of Master of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University in South Africa, Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication Studies from Zimbabwe Open University and a National Diploma in Mass Communication (Hexco).

The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe will miss her visionary strategic leadership and all her efforts in championing arts development and promotion. On behalf of the whole arts and culture sector, NACZ wishes her all the best in her future endeavours! – NACZ.
