Going under the hashtag “hatipfekemabeads” the artistes claim that wearing beads is lame as they prefer gold chains.

While we respect their choice we are of the opinion that beads are actually pretty cool.

They are as good as gold chains but are a way better option than fake gold bling.

Do not get us started on the effects of the fake bling.

Speaking of beads, the Cool Lifestyle had a one on one with one of the finest jewellers at an arts exhibition held in Chinhoyi this week.

The youthful “Duff the Artiste”, who specialises in funky beads for youths let us in on a new trend that is a hit in Chinhoyi.

“The trend is all about adding sass to a host of items like jewellery, belts, key holders and basically anything,” he said.

Amongst these also are wristwatches that he swags up by removing their belts and adding stylish strings and beads. You will need to see it to believe it.

Stylish celebrities like Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown might have made beads the in thing but we revolutionised them!
