Latest dancehall riddim titled “New Seasons” featuring various artistes from Zimbabwe and Jamaica has since been described as a powerful instrumental to unite different cultures.

“New Seasons Riddim” was produced by music producers Abra Simmz, George Chibamu and Jusa Dementor and it will be released this festive season. It was mastered and engineered by Roby Gee in the UK, Nox Guni, X Factor and Quazor and it marks the return of iconic Major E who is now based in the UK. The riddim includes several artists that include Pauline Gundidza, Celcius, Silent killer, Aisha Dawn, Jnr Tatenda, Jahnoz, Ninja Kid, Epixode (Ghana) as well as, Rre, Delando and Kalina all from Jamaica. Abra Simzz, the man who was behind the recent tour of Dancehall musician Beenie Man is turning out be a portal for Zimbabwean music to international destinations. He has to date assisted several local musicians among them Buffalo souljah Jah Seed and T Mula to connect with big names.

“Zimbabwe has a lot of talent, but opportunities are not available. I am determined to provide that opportunity so that Zimbabwean music can penetrate into the international market. I partnered Kamu Phiri on events and also connected with T Mula to expand on Mula VIP services which provides the latest cars, mansions and models for video productions,” said Simzz. The popular producer said he was inspired by the word of God to come up with this riddim.

“The riddim has a refreshing sound to it that takes listeners away from whatever they are facing to give them hope for tomorrow. I was inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1 which says there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. We are creatures of growth and it has to happen in everyone’s life at some point,” he said. The riddim will be released on radio stations both in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
