Musicians that are set to perform at The Sunday Mail Bridal Gala to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre on Saturday have promised fireworks at the event.

The prestigious and glamorous event will see the expo being conducted on Friday and Saturday when exhibitors will showcase their wares.

The main gala will be held on Saturday night. For Jah Prayzah, HICC has become his home as he has performed there several times and he will be launching his forthcoming album “Jerusarema” on May 22 at the same venue.

Yesterday the musician said those who will come to The Sunday Bridal Gala will have the chance to sample new songs before the release of the album.

“We have a complete package for our fans on the coming album. Everything from stage work and the music is prepared for the event and people will surely have a great time,” he said.

“This is a big event and we want to make sure that the organisers and the people who will grace the event will not be shortchanged,” he said.

Another artiste, Mudiwa Mutandwa of the “Taita Mari na Mwari” fame, said he was ready to unleash his new album “Mwana Wamambo Ndimambo” that will be launched two days later after the event.

“I am ready for that event as I have already finished my second album that will be released about two days after the bridal show,” he said.

He said he was beefing up his act so that merrymakers will be treated to a memorable event.

Pastor Charamba and his wife, arguably the finest gospel musicians that have emerged from the country, said they were geared up for the event.

“We always promise our fans the best. We have been having intercessory shows over the past couple of months and we are going to have another good time of worship with fans,” Pastor Charamba said.

Kawara, who is at his best these days, said the event was the right platform to dish the best of his performance. “We always improve day by day and such big events need us to perfect our performances,” he said.

Prudence of the “BP Yakwira” fame said she will give her best at the show.

Tocky Vibes also said he is raring to go and said the dancehall flavour at the show will make it a memorable show. According to Zimpapers business manager Charity Gwata-Chirume, all is in place for the show.

“The Sunday Mail Bridal Gala is the biggest event of its kind in the country and the organisers always make an effort to make sure the brand grows with each passing year. We are ready and this year the event is bigger, better and full of suprises. We have exciting programmes and we are encouraging people to come in their numbers. The show will definitely be a success. We have already secured a reasonable number of sponsors but some are still coming on board to ensure the success of this event,” she said.

Gwata-Chirume said she was happy with how the corporate world has been supporting the expo.
