LONDON. — Arsenal have made a bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gunners have tabled a £44.7m offer for the Gabon international, according to Spanish journalist Kike Marin.

Marin was the first journo to report on Arsenal’s deal for Alexis Sanchez and he’s broken a host of other exclusive content in recent years.

Aubameyang has been in stunning form this season, scoring 24 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund.

And Arsene Wenger wants the 26-year-old to help fire his side to a first title since 2004.

The Sun claimed over the weekend that Arsenal had made contact with Dortmund through an intermediary over a possible deal.

A source said: “An intermediary has made contact with Dortmund about Pierre-Emerick making a move to Arsenal.

“Wenger knows the fee is very high — yet this is a striker who can make a massive difference for him and help win the title for the first time in 12 years.

“But there is a lot of interest in him.”

Arsenal hope their opening bid will see them beat Manchester United and Liverpool to Aubameyang’s signature. — Dalily Star.
