It has made superstars of a few of its winners. And on Monday, Carrie Underwood took to Instagram to share a photo of her on American Idol exactly 10 years to the day that she became the season winner — as the Fox talent show gets ready for its 15th and final round.

“So hard to believe it’s been 10 years!” the 32-year-old shared. “I’m forever grateful to American Idol for changing my life! #blessed.”

The photo showed the singer in a low-cut, leopard spot print, halter-neck dress with her long blonde hair styled in tight corkscrews that tumbled around her shoulders.

The Oklahoma native became an over-night sensation following her win.

Her debut album, “Some Hearts”, was released in 2005, spawning three hit singles including “Before He Cheats” and went on to win three Grammy awards.

In the past 10 years Carrie has established herself as a country music superstar and has also become a wife and mother.

She married NHL star Mike Fisher, who plays for the Nashville Predators, in 2010. The couple welcomed their first baby, a boy named Isaiah Michael Fisher, on February 27.

The hit-maker revealed the news on Instagram on March 3 with a cute snap of the baby’s tiny hand. And Mike followed up with an adorable snap of him and Isaiah in bed on May 15.

Carrie is the latest American Idol alum and winner to credit the talent show for launching her career, ahead of its final season.

On May 11, Fox confirmed that the show, which once pulled in juggernaut ratings, would be ending after the upcoming season, which kicks off next January.

Viewership has fallen off dramatically in the past few years.

Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will return as the judges for the farewell season as will host Ryan Seacrest.— dailymail.
