The wait is over and let the fun begins.
All is set for Chipawo End of the Year Concert scheduled to take place at the Zimbabwe College of Music in Harare today. The concert, which many teens have dubbed “Little Hifa”, will see all children from Chipawo centres across the country taking part. According to show organisers, the concert starts at 9am sharp.

“Children from Cement Primary School of Bulawayo will be the guest performers at concert which will feature children from all 34 Chipawo centres in Harare, Chitungwiza, Norton, Bindura and Domboshava.

“The children will use the concert to present performing arts items that demonstrate aspects of their performing arts education programme undertaken during the year at their different centres and to show case their talents,” said the organisers.

The concert will also use the opportunity to commemorate International Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse which fell on November 19.

“In line with the objective of the International Day of Empowering Communities to Eliminate Violence Against Children, different Chipawo centres will present performing arts items aimed at increasing awareness and education about different forms of child abuse and violence against children as well as to promote respect for the rights of the child,” said Chipo Basopo, Chipawo manager, popularly known as Aunty Chipo.

To put the icing on the cake, Chipawo annual award presentation ceremony will be conducted late in the afternoon.

Some of the top categories include Chipawo Child of the Year, the Chipawo Centre of the Year, the Layiti of the Year, and the Layiti Centre of the Year among others.

Don’t miss out the fun as COOL SWAG CENTRE will be there and who knows you might be the cool lucky teen of the week. Meet with the stars today.
