All roads lead to the Harare International Conference Centre for The Sunday Mail Bridal show that will be held tomorrow. The prestigious and glamorous event will see an expo being conducted today and tomorrow when exhibitors will showcase their wares. Musicians Jah Prayzah, gospel couple Pastor Charles and Olivia Charamba, Alexio Kawara, Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana, Tocky Vibes and Mudiwa Mutandwa will be performing at the gala.

A lot is expected as the gala has top entertainers in the music industry.

Fans will be spoilt for choice as Jah Prayzah will be sampling songs from his forthcoming album “Jerusarema” that will be launched at the same venue on May 22.

The musician has a number of songs that have earned him a household name. Songs like “Tsviriyo”, “Kumbumura Mhute”, “Ngoda” and “Mwanasikana” among others have kept his fans dancing whenever he stages a show. The musician said he was prepared for the show.

“We have a complete package for our fans on the coming album. Everything from stage work and the music is prepared for the event and people will surely have a great time,” he said. “This is a big event and we want to make sure that the organisers and the people who will grace the event will not be shortchanged.”

The Charambas, who are arguably the best gospel couple in Zimbabwe, said they had prepared well for the show.

“We always promise our fans the best. We have been having intercessory shows over the past couple of months and we are going to have another good time of worship with fans,” Pastor Charamba said.

They are on record saying their latest album “WeNazareta” has put them on their international map.

Songs like “Machira Chete”, “Mukadzi Musamariya”, “Nyika Zimbabwe”, “Mhinduro Iripo” and “Mviro Mviro” are expected thrill fans at the prestigious show. This is their second show in Zimbabwe after a successful tour in Botswana.

Zimdancehall lovers will not be left out as they will be dancing to the songs of Tocky Vibes, who is still the king of the genre. He has songs that have thrilled all ages like “Mhai”, “Tocky Waenda Nenyika” and “Gheto Rese” among others that have earned him a nickname “Dancehall Priest”.

Another artiste, Mutandwa of the “Taita Mari na Mwari” fame, said he was ready to unleash his new album “Mwana Wamambo Ndimambo” that will be launched two days after the event. “I am ready for that event as I have already finished my second album that will be released about two days after the bridal show,” he said.

He said he was beefing up his act so that merrymakers will be treated to a memorable event.

Prudence of the “BP Yakwira” fame said she will give her best at the show.

According to Zimpapers business manager Charity Gwata-Chirume, all is in place for the show.

“The Sunday Mail Bridal Gala is the biggest event of its kind in the country and the organisers always make an effort to make sure the brand grows with each passing year. We are ready and this year the event is bigger, better and full of suprises. We have exciting programmes and we are encouraging people to come in their numbers.

“The show will definitely be a success. We have already secured a reasonable number of sponsors but some are still coming on board to ensure the success of this event,” she said.

Gwata-Chirume said she was happy with how the corporate world has been supporting the expo.
