The much-awaited movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (AOU), which premièred over the weekend at Eastgate and Westgate Ster Kinekor movie theatres was an upset as it did not live up to its billing.

The movie, which is a follow-up to “Avengers”, disappointed many people that flocked the theatres last weekend.

It is a 3-D movie yet the picture quality was not clear as expected of such production level.

The première saw songstress Ammara Brown taking the centre stage entertaining the patrons, with her songs before demonstrating some of her raunchy moves.

The patrons also had an opportunity for a photo-shoot with local celebrities such as Ammara and Mudiwa, with Coca-Cola as one of the main sponsors.

In an interview some of the movie fanatics who attended the première said the first movie was much better than the new production.

“I can say partly it is definitely bigger in scale although there was no romance brewing, but you could tell that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) the popular villain and his humour were missing.

“If Avengers was a must-see, with all the essence coming together flawlessly, AOU is a boring especially since the 3D effects did not come out clearly,” said Tendai Maziofa of Warren Park.

However, the movie is one pack of a superhero orgy as the mighty six — Iron Man (RDJ), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Capt America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are not of a surprise as they come face-to-face not only with the invincible Ultron, but various characters like Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany).

Again with such characters under one roof, it is obvious an action party and by this the director Jos Whedon rewards fans.
